School composition with an AI agent

A composition (сочинение) is a piece of writing pupils in Kazakh, Russian and English lessons are asked to produce on a topic, a literary work or a proverb.

It is usually written at school or at home from grade 1 to grade 11, and its length and style depend on the grade.

What it contains

Typical structure

  1. Title
  2. Plan: I. Introduction, II. Main part, III. Conclusion
  3. Introduction
  4. Main part, two to four paragraphs
  5. Conclusion

Length and format

Length usually depends on the grade: about 80–200 words in grades 1–4, 200–300 in grades 5–6, 300–450 in grades 7–8 and 450–700 in grades 9–11 and college.

The text is written as continuous prose, typically in Times New Roman 14 pt with 1.5 spacing, without a title page or reference list. Teachers often set their own volume.

How the AI agent helps

  1. Enter the topic, the grade and, for literature, the work and its author.
  2. Mention the type if you know it: reasoning, analysis, description, narration or a proverb.
  3. The AI agent writes at your grade's level and only uses quotations it is sure of.
  4. Read the draft, think about your own view and rewrite it in your own words.

Questions and answers

Which types of composition are supported?

Reasoning, literary analysis, description, narration and compositions on a proverb or quotation.

Does the composition include a plan?

Yes for Kazakh and Russian, as is usual in Kazakhstani schools. It is left out for English compositions or when your teacher says so.

Will it sound too adult?

Setting the grade level makes the AI agent adjust vocabulary and sentence complexity to that age.

Are quotations from books accurate?

The AI agent quotes only short passages it is sure of and otherwise retells episodes. Check quotations against the book before using them.
