Annotation of an article, thesis or book with AI

An annotation (аннотация) is a short, informative summary of a work: what it examines, how, and what it finds. Journals call it an abstract.

Authors need one for articles and conference papers, students for diploma projects and theses, and teachers and libraries for books and textbooks.

What it contains

Typical structure

  1. Author and title, if given
  2. Heading: Annotation
  3. Annotation text
  4. Keywords
  5. Other language versions, each on its own page

Length and format

An article annotation is usually 150–250 words, a thesis annotation 150–300 words, a book annotation 500–1,000 characters and a report annotation 100–200 words.

Journals often set their own limits and spacing; by default it uses Times New Roman 14 pt and 1.5 spacing.

How the AI agent helps

  1. Attach the work, or describe its topic, goal, methods and results.
  2. Choose the type and the languages, and add the journal's limit if there is one.
  3. The AI agent writes in the impersonal style of the genre with concrete results.
  4. Check that every statement matches your work and trim to the required length.

Questions and answers

Is an annotation the same as an abstract?

Yes in the journal sense: a short summary of a work. In Kazakhstani schools and universities, an abstract (referat) is a different, longer paper.

Can I get it in three languages?

Yes. Each version is written naturally in its language rather than translated word for word.

What if I do not attach the work?

The AI agent can write from your description of the topic, goal, methods and results, but it does not invent findings.

Does it include the annotator's opinion?

No. An annotation states what the work does and finds, without evaluation.

Attach your work and choose the languages to get an annotation draft that fits the genre.

The AI agent prepares a draft that you review, edit and finalize yourself; exact requirements depend on your school, university or teacher.
